The only other endorsement I can offer is that I talked to my older sister (we are both over 60) a couple weeks after I started taking D-ribose only to find out that she had "discovered" it herself and was taking it with equal success. And there is no speeding or hangover; I suppose if you took too much, you might get something like "sugar shock" and/or a "sugar hangover", but that hasn't happened to either of us.
