After that, I used PE only as needed. What I learned is that taking 20 tablets of PE is harmless - there were no side effects. However, taking too few tablets would not do the job. If you start with say five tablets, you may need to go higher and should not be afraid to do so. I don't believe papaya enzyme is a good remedy for upset stomach due to intestinal flu or for stomach gas. This product is more for excess stomach acid and related heartburn (IMO).
